Studio Information

Studio Policies & Tuition

• Please call or e-mail to reserve a lesson time.
• Payments operate on a semester based calendar.
• Payments are made in the form of a monthly  fixed tuition payable at the beginning of each month.
• Studio Contract runs from September - to - August. *New students are welcome to begin at any time during the year.
• Lessons are offered at Kingbury Strings Studio on Monday-Tuesday & Thursday's.

Lesson Tuition - Monthly

60-minutes  $200.00 + $10.00 Group Class Fee

45-minutes  $185.00 + $10.00 Group Class Fee

30-minutes  $150.00 * young beginners only

Kingsbury Strings Ensemble: $50.00 (monthly) Adult Group *optional ensemble

*KS-Adult Ensemble:                                               Beginning May 1, 2013 there will be a rate increase of ($25.00) for members who are not studying privately.

Non-student rate is: $75.00 (monthly)

KS-Chamber Strings: $50.00 (monthly) Student Group *optional ensemble - $75.00 (monthly) for non-student members.

Group Class: (Monthly) - Students will receive a minimum of one group class per month.

Instrument Sizing

Violins come in 9 sizes:

4/4 (also called full-size), 7/8, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16

• Selecting the correct size instrument is cructial for proper technical and musical development.

• All new students are sized for an instrument in advance of the first lesson.

 Lesson Materials

All students will need the following items before the first lesson:

• Violin (previously sized)
• Suzuki Book 1 (for violin)
• Suzuki CD (for Book 1)
• I prefer that you order the David Cerone edition (CD)
  

 Suzuki CD:

• Daily listening should occur prior to the first lesson.

• It is important that the music become a familiar part of the home environment.

• It helps to develop the ear and learn the repertoire in the Suzuki Method.
