Violin Lessons
Private and Group lessons are available at the Kingsbury Strings Studio. You can expect professional and caring instruction with attention to detail and a focus on individual learning. We are proud to offer violin lessons on Cape Cod to students of all ages and levels of ability.
Lessons begin by focusing on "balanced posture of the body" including violin and bow hold. Next, we focus on tone production or "tonalization." From this point on, selected pieces of music are introduced to the student to promote and develop musicianship and musical awareness.
Technical skills are broken down into the smallest possible steps so that information is introduced in a way that is understood by both parent and child. The Suzuki method promotes a strong partnership between parent-teacher-and child. Great emphasis is placed on listening. Since the method is based on the mother-tongue approach to learning, the use of reference recordings is essential to the progress of all students. This method can easily be modified to suit older students and adults.
Online Violin & Viola Lessons
via Skype and FaceTime
Kingsbury Strings Studio offers online violin and viola lessons via Skype and FaceTime. Online lessons give you the benefit of instrument study from the comfort of your own home in real time. It is the ideal alternative when you are unable to travel to the studio.
The option of remote lessons is open to all students with the exception of young beginners. The rates for in-person and Skype lessons are the same.

The professional musicians of Kingsbury Strings are available to play any function, be it a wedding, celebratory gathering, birthday party, memorial service or small event. Stringed instruments are our specialty but other instruments and custom ensembles are available upon request.
We specialize in bringing elegant music to your special event. Our group of professional musicians will perform the perfect mix of music that will add just the right ambience to any occasion and make it a memorable day for both you and your guests.
