Studio Policies & Fee Structure
Payment
You may choose to pay for the entire semester in one payment or you may elect to pay for the semester on a monthly fixed payment schedule.
If you choose to pay for the entire semester in one payment:
- Payment (in-full) must be received by the first lesson/first week of the semester.
If you choose to pay for the semester on a fixed monthly schedule:
- Payment is due at the first lesson/first week of each month. No exceptions please.
- Fees are due for all scheduled activities and are not subject to adjustment due to absenteeism.
- Tuition Payments should be CASH. I will provide monthly receipts for your records if needed.
Regardless of the number of lessons you receive in a month, the lesson fee remains the same. Your fee is a monthly retainer.
- There are no make-ups for missed lessons. If you can not make your regularly scheduled time, you should consult the lesson schedule to switch with another student on the list.
A Lesson Schedule with contact information will be sent via e-mail to all students at the beginning of each term.
I do require you notify me of the switch. If I am sick, or have to cancel a lesson, I will offer a make-up lesson. When that is not possible, I will offer a refund.
Sick-Day
I have included a sick day policy for myself. This would entitle me to one sick day with pay every 4-months.
One cancelled lesson per student every 4-months.
Studio Membership / Online Lessons
It is expected that all students study for the full-year. If you will be gone for an extended period of time, you must pay the cost of tuition to maintain your place in the studio. Arrangements may be made in advance, to set up Online Lessons when possible.
In the event that you are not able to continue your lesson study, a (1-month notice) is required prior to your departure from the studio.
Performance Requirement
All students are expected to perform in at least one workshop, one recital, and one community outreach concert each year - with approval of teacher.
Student Illness
If a student is ill/symptomatic, or has been out of school due to sickness or fever, please try to switch with another student listed on the Lessson Schedule.
If the student is still exhbiting symptoms later in the week, I ask that you skip coming to your lesson.
It is difficult to learn effectively when students are not feeling well. It also puts the instructor and other students in the studio at risk.
